Hi,

I was wondering if my hypothesis that All illegal immigrants are uneducated (not more than primary school level) is correct.

I reason that they were well educated then they would like to avail of the benefits of their educational qualifications. If they moved illegaly to a new country - they would not be able to show their degrees. For instance if I were to become an illegal immigrant in US - then I would have to burn all my educational degrees . The moment I show that I graduated from Harvard Univ in USA and from Delhi Univ --automatically they can dig up info from records. they can easily find that I arrived here as an international student from (confirming that I am an Indian citizen) and also verify from delhi Univ that I graduated from there as an Indian citizen. further, they can even dig up info about my school education in India -from records with Kirorimal College, Delhi - where I submitted my school records.

And thus I can easily be deported to India -after confirming my citizenship.

Thus, only those persons can really avail of the "benefits" of illegal immigration - who have no records to show and thus start with a clean slate - in the new country. Many in US come on permanent visas or work permits - but bring along their infant kids (who have a clean slate -in education etc) illegaly -it takes time for them to get a visa . These kids are legally permitted to enroll in US schools for free - like all US citizen kids. Although all my students here were born in US - and thus legally utlizing US educational facilities - most their parents cannot speak more than a few owrds of English.

Perhaps this is common to illegals immigrants over the world - including those form Bangladesh to India.

  Any comments?

  Umesh
