[Assam] Why are Illegal Immigrants mostly UnEducated?

i cannot give you a proper reply to this question. But just touching it. I 
once met a Bangladeshi Petrol station owner in Scotland. He told me that he 
entered India illegally through land route and worked in a firm in Bombay for a 
couple of years till he was able to come to UK. he didn't elaborate on the 
details. He was an educated man.
 
However I have knowledge of Hindu Bangladeshis coming legally to India and 
never going back to Bangladesh. I do not know how many of them but those were 
educated young people. All  these people had relatives in West Bengal or some 
other States.
