If the Country's rulers are serious about proving  " We are your servants- at your pleasure we serve-- to you we owe our existence, our livelihood/lifestyle is because of your kindness"-----then the junta or the Regime or the Impostors   called Representative Government should rewrite the RTI rulebooks thus ( otherwise no votes next time):

Friends, - Something very dangerous is happening in Assam! Individuals who file applications under the Right To Information (RTI) act to either seek information or already have got such information that pertain to corruption and misuse of public funds meant for developmental activities are being increasingly harassed, threatened, assaulted and even implicated on false charges.akhil gogoi, secretary of krishak mukti sangram samiti (golaghat) was initially refused information by govt officers under RTI act and then threatened and then assaulted by goons engaged by a nexus of officers-politicians-contractors. (needless to recall, a senior assam civil service officer called jajnesar nath, who was project director of golaghat district rural development agency was later arrested on charges of corruption.)namita subedi of vill teliagaon under police stn thelamara (in sonitpur district, under borchola lac, represented by assembly speaker tb rai) has been threatened for having extracted info that revealed massive swindling of public money in a village road construction.christopher minz and niren pareek of udalguri were beaten up as they came out of udalguri BDO office after filing an application under RTI act.sanjib tanti of hatigor under panery ps (udalguri district) was also beaten up afetr he extracted some info about massive irregularities in rural dev works). biswajit banik of barpeta was threatened by an SDC after he (banik) filed an RTI application to find out reasons behind delay in getting registered a plot of land he bought recently.officers, politicians, contractors and their friends all have sared -- now that the RTI act is being used. but the problem is they are beginning to threatene applicants because the number of applicants is low. more awareness and more applications will bring these culprits to their knees!samudra gupta kashyapguwahati
