The youth wing of the Bharitya Janata Party with the cooperation of the local people detected the aliens. They were later handed over to the police.
Sources said that the aliens left Arunachal Pradesh after receiving threats from two student organisations, APSU and ANSU. A reliable source has also informed that a group of 15 Bangladeshis got dash from a night super at Jamugurihat on July 16 at night and vanished. Search operation has been launched by AASU AJYCP and Asom Sena units of Jamugurihat. A memorandum has also been sent to DC of Sonitpur through BDO of Naduar Development Block demanding the arrest of such foreign nationals.
The organisation also suspects that the Bangladeshis might take shelter in Koraiwani, Madurani, Laletapu, Bhoroli Chapori, Moti Shankar, Makuwa and Marwakuri areas of greater Naduar area. Though, a meeting was been convened to discuss the situation by AASU and Asam Sena of Jamugurihat on July 16 but the absence of representatives from police and administration in the meeting has been bitterly criticised. While talking to this correspondent about the situation, Niranjan Nath Chief Convenor of Asom Sena said that the Assam government must deport the arrested foreign nationals from the State immediately. He also said that the detected people must be kept in a detention camp. Vote bank politics would not be tolerated by AASU and Asam Sena in this regard, Nath said. Nath asked that when the Congress government of Arunachal Pradesh works actively for the deportation of foreign nationals from the state, then why the Congress government of Assam led by Tarun Gogoi is hesistating to deport the same. What is the reason behind this, Nath asked. The role of Md Norjamal Sarkar, Irrigation Minister has also been bitterly criticised as it has come to the light from police sources that the minister tried to get the arrested Bangladeshis released AASU and Asam Sena have also warned the minister not to interfere in the matter taking the side of the foreign nationals.
