[Assam] Who is the Sentinel of Freedom?

Xourov-da,

It is vry easy to be utopian and talk about freedom to occupy any land and live there - how about letting anyone come and takeover your house, family etc - do you allow others that freedom? Freedom has to be within some rules or parameters.

Ati Sarvatra Varjayet - Extremes (ati) of everything/everywhere (sarvatra) are to be shunned (forbidden - Varjayet) as the Sanskrit saying goes.

Yes, having a world without the international border would be great. A lot of problems in Assam itself would get solved automatically then.

What kind of papers do they have? A card with their name and photograph, a ration card, a unique identification number? Who issued them these? The Assam/India government? So the government is considered efficient now? It is encouraging to know this. From when they become so organized?

They do have papers like millions of other (illegal) Bangladeshis in Assam. As long as they don't merge Assam with Bangladesh by having a plebiscite in 50 years with those overly-populated Bangladeshis in Assam. I am sure those advocates will scream without knowing/recognizing history - in a democracy, it is what the majority (previously illegal but now legal Bangladeshis) wants.

 Scary, huh?

Xourov, Let's talk about before and after the international border disappears between India and Bangladesh. Before: Bangladeshis should have the freedom to live wherever they want in Bangladesh, not in India.

That is not what Xourov asked. He asked what you will do about these people
who will produce the papers and will be let go by the police.

Want to give it a try :-)?

After: Bangladeshis should be able to live wherever they want in Bangladesh or India. If the concept of international borders disappears altogether and everyone is a citizen of the world, that freedom should extend even to Pakistan, China, USA or any other place. Dilipda

what do you think of the freedom of the bangladeshis
to speak, to choose where to live, how to make a
living, religion, culture and the freedom to vote?

as you probably know, these people who have been
caught have the papers. the police will be releasing
them very soon.

what do you think, dilip-da?
