JD Fashion Institute opens Dibrugarh centre

 DIBRUGARH, Aug 10 – Northeast’s second branch of the JD Institute of Fashion Technology was inaugurated here at a function held on last Thursday. After Guwahati, the second centre here will meet the fashion training requirements, said the institute’s executive director RC Dalal.

The centre here was inaugurated by the Dibrugarh University Vice Chancellor Dr KK Deka. He said it is a matter of pride that a reputed group like the JD Institute of Fashion Technology has opened two branches in North East India. Dalal, speaking at the inaugural function, said the Guwahati centre has received overwhelming response by fashion students and that he is sure the Dibrugarh centre will be well patronaged by the students. 

He said the world today counts on India as a major mover in the fashion business. The institute’s Dibrugarh centre director, D Jain said the students will gain from current fashion curriculum. He said the city has good potential to churn out outstanding fashion and interior designers.
