[Assam] Why no AIIMS in Assam / NE ?

Some years back, I heard that a group of very experienced Assamese NRI doctors were planning to bring up a very high tech and world class multi specialty hospital under the name of Brahmaputra Hospitals, in Guwahati, to cater to all the 7  NE states.

Whatever happened to that effort ?

If NEI gets AIIMS, the traditionally benefitted Patna Medical College,MNC-Apollo
groups,TATA Mumbai,CMC VEllore,ShakaraNethralaya etc will sink in the Indian
Ocean.No govt will give them new package to bail out.George Bush is no more.Look
at all angles.....
All bz they enjoys good revenure illegally or legally from entire 7 states and
Sikkim thus fooling people.
