22-year old Palash Jyoti Phukan from Namrup became the first Star
Cement Voice of Axom. The son of an employee of the Assam Petrochemical
Limited defeated his two rivals Rajesh Roy of Silchar and Sudipta
Chakrabarti of Guwahati by close margins. Palash won a luxury flat in
Guwahati while first runners-up Rajesh won a cash award of Rs 11 lakh
and second runners-up Sudipta won a Hyundai Verna car. The results were
announced in a start-studded function held at the Nehru Stadium on
