[Assam] Survey finds Asomiyas a minority

This is hardly shocking. Assam is going the Tripura way.
People who had previously identified themselves as "Assamese" now hardly do
so. They have the numbers to feel secure in their own language tag.
Maybe it's a good idea for Assam to be declared a tribal state. There was a
suggestion in one of the Letters to the Editor section of the Sentinel/Assam
Tribune that Hangrama Mohilary and their likes be given the reign of the
state. Maybe it's not a bad idea after all. Someone from the
Bodo/Dimasa/Karbi community be given a chance while Assam still exists.
At least our neighbours- Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal have
governments who are genuinely concerned. Afterall has any CM but our own
dismissed the presence of Bangladesghis in the state?
