There is a  serious problem with all kinds of absolutisms. It should 
be apparent.

Just as too much financial manipulation -- as engineered by 
accountants and business-managers, has proven to be disastrous for 
America and will for India, too much of engineering solutions also 
have proven similarly disastrous for Russia and China ( IF that is 
who have perpetrated these) , never mind the short term  gains; be it 
in the USA or Russia or China.

Best practices always are a prudent  mix of different intellectual assets.
