Award for computer scientist

 GUWAHATI, March 16 – Jorhat-based computer scientist Debojit Bora will receive the Ghanashyam Goswami Memorial Award for 2008 at a function, slated to be held at Hatiyekhowa High School in Golaghat district on March 20, a press release said. The award, instituted by the city-based Ghanashyam Goswami Memorial Trust in 2001, carries a citation and Rs 10,000 in cash for notable contributions to the field of science in the State. Noted botanist Ananda Chandra Dutta will be felicitated at the same function. Litterateur Prafulla Bora will inaugurate a library room at the school, the press release added.
