*Meaningless complaint
* Sir, – Whatever Arup Kumar Dutta, has written in his article “Land of
whiners” (AT, March 21) is hundred per cent true. We may have lots of
reasons to complain against the Central government at New Delhi. But only
complaining against government will produce no result for us. We have to
analyse our own mistakes first. If the Central government without
considering our feelings imposed election on April 16 at the time of Bihu,
what our representatives were doing in Delhi? We find that nobody is
complaining against the election date boldly, rather they are all busy with
tie up, seat sharing etc.
It is known to common people also that the Central government provides lots
of funds for development of our State. But due to our incompetent
bureaucrats and ignorant political leaders the funds remain unutilised. Not
only in the political field but also in all other fields we have lost our
glory due to our own fault. So before complaining against any one else we
should rectify ourselves and work for a better future. – Yours etc., Rajib
Kumar Bora, Guwahati.
