[Assam] watch- BMW on an expansion spree in India

Dada,

 

Skoda is a Czech co if i am not mistaken, yeah they dont have any presence here. Pretty good cars though I  havent driven one back home.

X1 BMW  is the smallest member of BMW SUV line, haven't seen here in US yet. X1 will suit Indian conditions I  suppose.  BMW is starting its own finance program in India. Folks can now lease these expensive  vehicles there  as well.

 

India is now among the top 5 auto markets in the world, however  for real driving pleasure we need good roads  there ! 

 

Here's is a  look at the prices of  various luxury cars in India, you will notice they are much more expensive then what we have it here .Higher taxes I  bet.

 

 

Mercedes-

Merc E class is $100K there, we get it here in higher $40s or lower $50s.

A4 is sround  $90K there , we get it here in middle $30K range.

5 series in India $100K, here its in $50K  range.

Camry is almost $50 K there , almost double the price !!!
