Aubergine is French for 'bengena'(ass.), berenzena(sp.) ,  
brinjal( eng.), eggplant ( eng.)

Jika is  RIDGED LUFFA ( LUFFA ACUTANGULA )

Bhaat Kerela is : Momordica foetida. Don't know English name.

Related variety:  Potol is Ivy gourd ( Coccinia grandis)

Tita kerela is Momordica charantia or bitter melon, bitter gourd.
