[Assam] Suhas Chakma at GPC

Dear friends,
Suhas Chakma, Director of Asian Centre for Human Rights will be available at 
Guwahati Press Club tomorrow (January 21, 2011) on 1 pm for media queries. 

It may be mentioned that Gauhati High Court will hear a writ petition 
(tomorrow), filed by Mr Chakma & ACHR on equal rights and facilities for the 
50,000 displaced Rabhas and Garos as being given (i) to the Sri Lankan Tamil 
refugees in the camps in Tamil Nadu and the Kashmir Pandits (in Delhi); and (ii) 
Sri Lankan Tamil IDPs in Sri Lanka, the Kashmiri Pandits and Brus of Mizoram.
The petition has been filed against the State governments of Assam and Meghalaya 
and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
