Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce the final programme of the AoIR 2025 Flashpoint Symposium in Bremen:

From Platform Governance to Generative AI:
Concepts, Methods, and Data for Studying Tech Governance
Date: 3-4 June 2025 Location: Bremen, Germany
https://platform-governance.org/aoir-flashpoint-symposium-2025/

We look forward to welcoming many of you to Bremen in not much more than two weeks now! The line-up of more than 40 presentations and panels looks amazing, and includes many usual AoIR-suspects and a lot of inspiring young colleagues. We will have informal get-togethers, karaoke and a public event with policy makers (incl. from the German Federal Chancellery) in the evenings.

Plenary speakers include Thomas Poell and Natali Helberger (University of Amsterdam), Sarah T. Roberts (UCLA), Tarleton Gillespie (Microsoft Research / Social Media Collective), Elinor Carmi (City St George’s, University of London), Amélie Heldt (German Federal Chancellery), Arnika Zinke (European Parliament), Nicolas Suzor (Queensland University of Technology) and Jillian C. York (Electronic Frontier Foundation / CIHR).

Registration for a few remaining seats is still available. Please notice that this is an on-site event.

Best,
Christian
