[Assam] Blue bloods for UN Chief ?? Tharoor=>Corrupt India=Corrupter UN

  Will any old Indian do as UN chief? Then why not make Dawood Ibrahim as UN chief -he already has international business in most major nations (recently a biographical book was written about him : "The most dangerous man in the world" - by Gilbert King -I bought it last year from Harvard Coop store).
  Indians have been at the forefront in corrupting UN : pl see report:

  "Natwar Singh may be battling the worst crisis of his political career after the former External Affairs Minister and the Congress party were named as beneficiaries in United Nation’s oil-for-food programme (OFFP) by the Volcker Committee Report.

But it is not just Natwar and the Congress alone who are in dock. The role of India Inc too is under the scanner. According to the report, 125 Indian companies are among the 2,400 firms worldwide who made illicit payments to the erstwhile Saddam Hussein regime in order to secure lucrative contracts under the OFFP. 

These include private sector companies like Reliance Industries, Kirloskar Brothers, Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd, Ranbaxy Labs, Cipla, Wockhardt and Tata International. Besides them, public sector companies like State Trading Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation, RITES Ltd and Balmer Lawrie & Co, too, figure in the report. "

  A weak-kneed Indian (eve a "Mr Clean") UN chief would only increase the reach of these corrupt guys to UN --bringing bad name to the organizations and Indian diaspora across the world.

        Well, just on a point of information. The subject under discussion is not really religion but the choice of a candidate for the post of United Nations Secretary General. We netters do not really have a stake save that as Indians we would like to see an Indian 
  in that office. We do not have a choice either because it is largely a matter of high 
  politics, and alas! none of us netters is anywhere near that heaven or hell. So far I know India tried to put a senior career diplomat as the Head of  the Commonwealth a few years ago but was not successful.
   
  Sashi Tharoor worships Ganesh. He wrote so eloquently about  the elephant God that
