In this context, we may consider the contents of the following link that
shows that 120000 persons (0.01% of India's population) owns one-third of
the GDP.
If Rich getting richer is the only index of maturity of the Indian system
that would ensure annihilation of Rameswars, leaving no cadre base for
Naxals/ Maoists, then in that manner 'democracy' will surely mature as a
system in India.
The loot in Rameswar's country has become so blatant and shameful that it
has led to resignation of Lokayukta in Karnataka and made Cabinet Minister B
K Handique to seek CBI inquiry in respect of strip and illegal mining.
The scams, peasant's suicide, highly disproportionate wealth and income
distribution etc. are on the increase since Independence. Does it show
maturity or regression? Yesterday's hike in price of fuels will enhance
transportation and therefore food bill and will create more poors; because,
rich remain unaffected by such price increases. The richer he is, the less
affected he is, and he can buy out smaller ones of his own kind that get
affected. Poors at subsistence level are not to be considered, as they are
mere fodders for Naxal/Maoist/ extremist canons. It is the plight of the
lower middle class, a huge chunk of which have to embrace penury with every
such hike. Similarly, the vacuum below makes room for an upper crust to fill
the void.
Do Rameswars, poor tribals, considered to be dimwit, as they can be led
astray by Maoist propaganda, really need any inducement from the Maoist/
Naxals/ extremists?
